Tamilnadu National Law University, is a Govt. university
located in Tiruchirappalli, Tamilnadu. The University was established in 2012
by State Government of Tamilnadu. The Tamilnadu National Law University, It is recognized by the
Bar Council of India ( BCI ) and University Grants Commission ( UGC ) ( Sec. 2f
and 12b of the UGC Act.

into 21st Century. Law has to deal with problems of diverse magnitudes and a
student of law and an Advocate has to be trained in Professional skills to meet

multinationals in India as anywhere else, the task of lawyers would be highly
technical and an imperative need would arise to have competent lawyers who
would be trained in the right culture of Legal Education. This makes a sound

Tamilnadu National Law University, has created quite a name for it self over the years. It is recognized Act of State Legislator Act no.9 of 2022. The University is duly recognized
by UGC u/s 2(f) and is empowered to award degrees specified u/s 22 of UGC Act
1956. with the objective to promote inter-disciplinary Higher
Education in the needy areas of Chennai, Tamil Nadu. To instill in students and research scholars a sense of
responsibility to serve society in the field of law by developing skills in
advocacy, legal services, legislation, parliamentary practice, law reforms, and
other areas; to make law and legal processes effective tools for social

Hostel:
The university provides hostel facilities with 144 rooms
available for boys & 244 rooms for girls separately. Hostel rooms provide
facilities like a cupboard, separate study rooms with the connectivity of
computers & internet, comfortable beds, bathrooms and attached toilet
facilities. Tamilnadu National Law University, hostel is situated inside the Tiruchirappalli campus. Tamilnadu NLU hostel rooms are available on basis
of sharing. One hostel room can accommodate 3 people. There are 144 rooms
available for boys & the remaining 244 rooms are available for girls
separately. The hostel can accommodate nearly 600 students. All students need
to follow the college hostel rules as per the management.
