Jagan Nath University, located in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, was established as a Private University in May 2013 under the Haryana State Legislature Act No. 8 of 2013. Approved under Section 22 of the UGC Act 1956 and a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), the university commenced operations during the academic session 2013-14 on its own 26-acre campus. The campus, situated on State Highway 22, Bahadurgarh-Jhajjar Road, Dist. Jhajjar, Haryana, NCR, offers a diverse range of UG and PG programs across multiple faculties, including Engineering and Technology, Architecture, Management, Commerce, Law, Journalism and Mass Communication, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Agriculture Science, Teacher Education, and Vocational Studies.
The university, sponsored by the Jagan Nath Gupta Memorial Educational Society, benefits from visionary promoters. This registered non-profit organization, established in 1993, has a robust educational presence with numerous institutions in Delhi, UP, Haryana, and Rajasthan, totaling 10 higher education institutions and 2 universities, serving over 10,000 students with a faculty of 600 members.
