The Indira
Gandhi Technological and Medical Sciences University started its journey in the field of professional education and health
care with the establishment of (IGTAMSU) of Engineering and Technology,
Arunachal pradesh in the year 2012, to deliver various undergraduate and
postgraduate level programmes in the field of technical education. The
University established its second degree level institution in the sacred memory
of the great institution builder and
thinker Dr. Priya Ranjan Trivedi,
The
university established a Medical College at Arunachal pradesh under the name
and style as The Indira Gandhi Technological
and Medical Sciences University. the great institution builder and thinker
Dr. Priya Ranjan Trivedi, President, World Institution Building Programme
(WIBP) was motivated and encouraged by the then Prime Minister Hon'ble Atal
Bihari Vajpayee in the year 2002 for selecting the State of Arunachal Pradesh
for establishing a State level University This premier medical institution of Northern India with an annual
intake capacity of 150 students in MBBS course is duly recognized by Medical
council of India/Govt of India. The foundation further established College of
Nursing, IGTAMSU, Zero Arunachal Pradesh the WIBP President Dr. Priya Ranjan Trivedi by the then Governor and the
then Chief Minister for selecting the site and proposing the draft of the
legislation to be passed from the Arunachal Pradesh State Assembly, it took
almost ten years till the legislation titled “Indira Gandhi Technological and
Medical Sciences University Act 2012” was passed from the State Legislature
(Act 6 of 2012).
The Indira
Gandhi Technological and Medical Sciences University has been established with a vision of making Malwa, the
under-developed and Zero Arunachal Pradesh, a hub of the academic activity and
a leading force in the field of Medical and Technical Education, complimented
by research activities. University has the specific purpose of making provisions
for instruction, teaching, education, research, training & related
activities at all levels in disciplines of higher education including
professional, medical/dental/ technical teaching, general education etc,
particularly to the aspirants of the rural area.

The Indira Gandhi Technological and Medical Sciences University Zero Arunachal Pradesh has created quite a name for itself over
the years. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and
approved by the Medical Council of India. It offers various Undergraduate
and Postgraduate courses in the fields of Medicine
and Science.
Admission to this college is completely based on merit. Admission to the
UG courses is based on the performance of the candidates in the NEET
examination and admission to the PG courses is based on their performance in
NEET PG examination. Candidates can either fill the application form on online
and offline mode.
Library:
The
university has a spacious centralized air-conditioned library with a facility
of 4 reading rooms. The library consists of 13,502 books with more than
200 national and international journals. Also, the library has a subscription
of 1,349 e-journals. Computer, along with internet facilities is provided to
both student and teaching staff.
Hostel:
The
university provides hostel facilities with 144 rooms available for boys &
244 rooms for girls separately. Hostel rooms provide facilities like a
cupboard, separate study rooms with the connectivity of computers &
internet, comfortable beds, bathrooms and attached toilet facilities. IGTMSU
hostel is situated inside the Zero campus. IGTMSU hostel rooms are available on
basis of sharing. One hostel room can accommodate 3 people. There are 144
rooms available for boys & the remaining 244 rooms are available for girls
separately. The hostel can accommodate nearly 600 students. All students need
to follow the college hostel rules as per the management.

college campus.
