Annamalai University is a state university established in 1929. The university has ten faculties, including Arts, Science, Marine Sciences, Indian Languages, Engineering and Technology, Education, Fine Arts, Agriculture, Medicine, and Dentistry, as well as 49 departments of study that offer programmes at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels in a variety of disciplines. Annamalai University DDE has 15 patents and 40 memorandums of understanding with research partners such as FAO, IRRI, and USDA. Annamalai University has collaborated with the University of Malaya in Malaysia, the University of Highlands and Islands in Scotland, and other universities.

Hostel

Annamalainagar University provides comfortable and well-appointed hostel accommodation to students both on-campus and off- campus. Room accommodation is extended on a firstcome- first-serve basis to students. Students can avail hostel rooms either on a single or a shared basis.
