Aliah University was founded in 2008 and is situated in Kolkata,
West Bengal. Numerous undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate programs are
available at the university in a range of subject areas.
The University is approved by the All India Council for
Technical Education (AICTE), the University Grant Commission (UGC) and the
National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). It is one of the oldest
educational institutes in the country. Aliah University is located in New Town,
Kolkata and is controlled by the state government. Previously known as
Mohammedan College of Calcutta, it was established in 1780.

Library
The Central Library has one of the best collections of information
sources in technology, management, science and engineering-related disciplines.
The library has a large collection of text reference books and multimedia which
is continuously updated with the latest editions. It subscribes to
international periodicals, databases and online journals.
The library maintains an intranet website through which students
can access online databases, journals and catalogues anywhere in the campus
using Wi-Fi connectivity. The library has the subscription of DELNET.
Hostel
Aliah University provides comfortable and well-appointed hostel
accommodation to students both on-campus and off- campus. Room accommodation is
extended on a firstcome- first-serve basis to students. Students can avail
hostel rooms either on a single or a shared basis.
Sports:
Aliah University believes that sports plays a pivotal role in
moulding one's personality and maintaining good health. We've specially
developed a sports-centric environment that matches international standards and
gives a truly global experience to all our students. Moreover, the university
celebrates an Annual Sports Day every year to provide a platform to our
students to exhibit their athletic talents in front of their friends and
family. Sporting facilities are offered for games like: • Cricket • Volleyball
• Badminton • Basketball • Gymnasium • Football • Table Tennis
Transportation Facility:
Transport facility is provided to the students, faculty and staff.
The University has its own fleet of buses which not only take care of daily
transportation, but also used for students outings like entertainment and study
tours, industrial visits etc.
Medical facilities
Aliah University has well equipped functional infirmary which
caters for the First Aid and limited our patient medical services.
Training & Placement For Aliah University
The university has a Placement Cell that looks after the students
and helps & assists them in becoming employable and valuable employees.
This cell trains the students well so that they can become skilled manpower
with knowledge. This cell is responsible for conducting on-campus placement
drives and providing the students with a platform where they can connect with
industry experts through workshops, seminars, special lectures, etc. This cell
helps the students in recognising their talents and helps them grab the best
placement opportunity in various national and international companies.
