Alagappa University is a non-profit public
university in Tamil Nadu, India. It offers undergraduate and graduate programs
and also offers distance learning programs. The university has four faculties.
It is accredited by the NAAC with an A+ grade. It has 51 affiliated colleges,
including one Autonomous College and one Model Constituent College of Arts and
Science. In addition to its academic and non-academic services, Alagappa
University is a member of AIU, the Association of Indian Universities, and the
Commonwealth Universities.
The University provides a variety of courses at
different levels such as Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral. The
qualifying examination results are used to determine admission to Alagappa
University UG programs. However, admission to the B.Ed, D.Ed, and B.P.Ed
programmes is determined by the scores of Alagappa University entrance exam.
Admission to postgraduate programs is determined by the candidate's merit in
the qualifying exam or the scores of the university entrance exam and
Interview, or a combination of the two.

Library
The Central Library has one of the best collections of information
sources in technology, management, science and engineering-related disciplines.
The library has a large collection of text reference books and multimedia which
is continuously updated with the latest editions. It subscribes to
international periodicals, databases and online journals.
The library maintains an intranet website through which students
can access online databases, journals and catalogues anywhere in the campus
using Wi-Fi connectivity. The library has the subscription of DELNET.
Hostel
Alagappa University provides comfortable and well-appointed
hostel accommodation to students both on-campus and off- campus. Room
accommodation is extended on a firstcome- first-serve basis to students.
Students can avail hostel rooms either on a single or a shared basis.
Sports:
Alagappa University believes that sports plays a pivotal
role in moulding one's personality and maintaining good health. We've specially
developed a sports-centric environment that matches international standards and
gives a truly global experience to all our students. Moreover, the university
celebrates an Annual Sports Day every year to provide a platform to our
