Adesh University is a private university located in Bathinda, Punjab. The University was established in 2012 by the Adesh Foundation and approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Medical Council of India (MCI). The university offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, PG Diploma, and Research courses in various disciplines. The UG courses MBBS, BPT, BDS, B. Pharm, B.Lib, and B.Sc. Adesh Foundation started its journey in the field of professional education and health care with the establishment of Adesh Institute of Engineering and Technology, Faridkot in the year 1996, to deliver various undergraduate and postgraduate level programmes in the field of technical education. The Foundation established its second degree level institution in the sacred memory of martyrs of Sri Muktsar Sahib under the name Bhai Maha Singh College of Engineering, Muktsar in the year 2002.

The foundation established a Medical College at Bathinda under the name and style as Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Bathinda. This premier medical institution of Northern India with an annual intake capacity of 150 students in MBBS course is duly recognized by Medical council of India/Govt of India. The foundation further established College of Nursing, AIMSR, Bathinda and College of Physiotherapy, AIMSR, Bathinda in the year 2005. College of Pharmacy, AIMSR, Bathinda was established in the year 2006, while Adesh Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences, Bathinda was established in the year 2007 to impart training in the field of Pharmacy. All these colleges are recognized/approved by respective regulatory councils / authorities. Adesh Institute of Dental Sciences & Research, Bathinda was established in year 2008 to impart training in dental sciences, with the annual intake of 100 seats in BDS. The dental college is recognized by Dental Council of India/Government of India.

Adesh University has been established with a vision of making Malwa, the under-developed and backward belt of Punjab, a hub of the academic activity and a leading force in the field of Medical and Technical Education, complimented by research activities. University has the specific purpose of making provisions for instruction, teaching, education, research, training & related activities at all levels in disciplines of higher education including professional, medical/dental/ technical teaching, general education etc, particularly to the aspirants of the rural area.

Library:

The university has a spacious centralized air-conditioned library with a facility of 4 reading rooms. The library consists of 13,502 books with more than 200 national and international journals. Also, the library has a subscription of 1,349 e-journals. Computer, along with internet facilities is provided to both student and teaching staff.

Hostel:

The university provides hostel facilities with 144 rooms available for boys & 244 rooms for girls separately. Hostel rooms provide facilities like a cupboard, separate study rooms with the connectivity of computers & internet, comfortable beds, bathrooms and attached toilet facilities. Adesh medical college hostel is situated inside the Bathinda campus. AIMSR hostel rooms are available on basis of sharing. One hostel room can accommodate 3 people. There are 144 rooms available for boys & the remaining 244 rooms are available for girls separately. The hostel can accommodate nearly 600 students. All students need to follow the college hostel rules as per the management.

Sports: It also offers various kinds of outdoor & indoor sports activities for improving the physical health of students.

Canteen: The University college offer three canteens & one mess facility for the benefit of the students, staff, and the patients.

Scholarships:

The University provides scholarships to meritorious students. It also conducts many exams based scholarships where students who have passed those exams, the government will provide the full amount of scholarship. The University also offers scholarships to those who belong to SC/ST Category.
